All puppies in our care are raised with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to support their development and build resilience from an early age. We prioritize structured socialization, ensuring that each puppy is exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, and experiences critical for their confidence and adaptability.

During their time with us, puppies will interact with well-socialized adult dogs, safely engage with children of different ages, and be introduced to a variety of people in positive ways. We also begin foundational training, including early potty and crate training, confidence-building exercises, and basic puppy manners.

By the time our puppies are ready for their forever homes, they will have had a thorough veterinary exam, be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations (including DHPP and rabies, if of age), microchipped, dewormed, and started on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Puppies old enough (6 months) will also be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

f the puppy you are looking to adopt is not altered, there is a $100 refundable deposit that the adopter will receive back once the puppy has been altered.  We require ALL our dogs to be spayed or neutered but we do not encourage or do pediatric spay and neuters.

In the rare events For adult dogs in our care, we take the time to assess their needs, personalities, and behaviors to ensure they are placed in the most suitable forever home.

Included in the adoption fee:

• Lifetime post-adoption behavior support to help with any issues that may arise. 
• We provide one in-home consult or Zoom consult for anyone of distance that may be having specific issues ($150 value).  This consult will be done by a trainer with The Family Fido. After the initial consult, you will receive a discounted rescue rate if you need multiple visits.
• All adopters will receive a discounted rescue rate for classes, boarding, daycare, and training at The Family Fido for up to one year after adoption.
